Meet the driving force behind SPANG Career Collective, Sylvia Torres. With over 17 years of recruiting experience, Sylvia has a unique blend of expertise from working in both agency and in-house recruiting. In 2011, she made the transition to become a recruiting consultant, combining the agility of an agency recruiter with the collaborative approach of an in-house recruiter.
Passionate about challenging the status quo, Sylvia founded SPANG Career Collective with a mission to provide a personalized alternative to traditional agencies. Drawing from her experience as an in-house corporate recruiter, she recognized the gaps that agencies often failed to fill despite their high costs.
As the founder, Sylvia remains actively involved in recruiting and stays up to date with industry trends and changes. She proudly serves on the Board of Directors for Mile High SHRM, further deepening her knowledge and connections within the HR and recruitment community.
Sylvia's direct and honest approach has earned her a strong following on LinkedIn. She values long-term relationships and prioritizes maintaining a stellar reputation as a trusted recruiter.
